TWO goals scored by strikers, Jean Ngita and Jephte Kitambala, were enough to make Azam FC win with a 2-0 goals.

It was a good day for the boys from Azam Complex after dominating the first half playing clean football.

It was not surprising to see them take the lead in the 36th minute, scored by Ngita with a connecting shot after a header pass from Himid Mao. The goal that made Azam FC go into the break with their one goal advantage.

Azam FC Head Coach, Florent Ibenge, made changes to strengthen his team in the second half, in the 46th minute, resting Feisal Salum ‘Fei Toto’, who was feeling unwell and replacing Sadio Kanoute.

In the 58th minute, he took off Ngita and Abel Abah and brought on Kitambala and Ashraf Kibeku, a change that added life to the attacking area.

In the 64th minute, a good pass from Kanoute to Idd Nado caused damage to the TRA goal, after Kitambala connecting well in the net and make Azam FC's lead by two goals.

In the game, three Azam FC players, Himid, Fei Toto and Twalib Nuru, were shown yellow cards by referee Ramadhan Kayoko.

The victory takes Azam FC to a total of 55 points in third place in the standings, three points ahead of second-placed Simba and top-placed Yanga with 60 points, who have one game in hand each.

The champions of the league 2013/2014 season, will take to the field again on June 17, 2026, to face Mashujaa in the continuation of the league, the match is expected to be held at the Azam Complex Stadium, at 7.00 pm.
